Virtuosity as a primeval artistic distinction is revealed most vividly in "Lesson". The pianist has freed her hands from the bulky mitts and is giving a piano lesson to none other than the Croatian sculptor Ivan Kožarić himself!

During more than sixteen minutes, we watch how the eighty-five-year-old sculptor sits before the keys and carefully absorbs the instructions. Soon after the painstaking start of the lesson, the old hands of the great artist free up and start to improvise unexpectedly in the four-hand dialogue with the pianist. Virtuosity, based above all on intuition, is shown as free and unburdened here in relation to the artistic medium.
